Install or Upgrade

The installation process consists of:

Configuration

Step 1: At the boot screen, run with "puppy pfix=ram" (configuration time only)
Step 2: Specify the desired keyboard layout
Step 3: Specify the X server type
Step 4: Specify your monitor type
Step 5: Specify the desired resolution and color depth
Step 6: Shutdown when Pandev Linux loads (recommended)
Step 7: Save to File (recommended)
Step 8: Insert a USB flash drive (recommended)
Step 9: Specify the USB flash drive for storing the virtual Linux filesystem. Disk size is often times the easiest way to determine which is which.
Step 10: Specify a save filename (i.e. pandev20081029) which corresponds to the Pandev Linux version (recommended)
Step 11: Specify Normal (recommended)
Step 12: Specify 512MB (recommended)
Step 13: Yes, save
Step 14: No (recommended unless you are using a serial mouse)
Step 15: Yes, this will greatly reduce the boot time (recommended)
